Moving out and Moving On

The last week has been punishingly busy.  I have...

Replaced rear axel seals, rear brakes, fluids, etc. on the truck
Final apartment pack up
Cleaned apartment
Loaded Trailer
Said goodbyes to everyone

The trailer I bought to save money on the trip, continues to be a hassle.  The night before I was planning to leave Seattle, Tim and I figured out the tires were the wrong size...after we had it full of stuff...at about 9pm......fuck.  Disconnect the trailer, head north to stay with a friend, and deal with the situation tomorrow.  Luckly, or so I thought, Discount Tire opens at 8am.  Four, four and a half hours late, but that's still not bad.  This was not to be.

Wakeup came  at 7am, and I rolled out, first in line at the tire store, they had the tires I needed, but not the rims.  After a bunch of rigamarole that went something like "no we don't have them, yes we have them, the computer says we have them but we can't find them" the rims ended up coming down from Lynwood, three hours later.   Finally, finally rolled out of Seattle around noon.  Now, I'm running seven hours behind.  Best case puts me at my next stop somewhere around 8am the next morning.

There'll be more to the story later, but now it's time for bed.  I'll leave you with this thought : I hope the axel doesn't bend too much more before Denver.
